Chapelstone Field Shelters
The specification of our Chapelstone field shelters is similar to that of our standard stable units.
The major difference is that field shelters are mounted on skids of which we offer three types – wooden, lightweight galvanised steel and a heavy duty box section galvanised steel, all to suit budget and structural requirements.
We use plywood kickboards in our field shelters because this improves the rigidity of the shelter when towed. Chapelstone can overboard the ply with traditional plank kickboards as an optional extra, if you prefer.
We advise staking the fronts of the field shelter unit into the ground, especially in exposed locations. Choose a dry flat sheltered area as the best place to locate your field shelter, but if this is not possible we can supply and lay a suitable base such as road planings to help with drainage and prevent poaching by your horses.
Our field shelters are on display at the Suffolk Show each year. The show takes place around the end of May/beginning of June, and we enjoy the opportunity to meet new and old customers. We’ll often have a mobile stable block and a field shelter there, and we’re always flattered by the attention and comments we get about them.
If you are considering visiting the show next time, please follow us on Facebook to ensure you keep up to date with times and stand number etc – as well as keeping up to date on other news and articles of interest. We are on Facebook as @ChapelstoneEquestrianConstruction
Wooden field shelters are versatile and can be tailored to your individual needs – like all our buildings.
